Rufus 3.8.1580 |
Bangopah.com - Rufus is a freeware that
can be used to create Bootable USB / flash disks, this is useful if you want to
create installation media from USB (Windows, Linux, etc.).
The
use of a bootable USB flash drive (flash, memory stick and others) will be very
beneficial for a computer technician or laptop owner, especially netbooks or
notebooks that do not have a CD / DVD drive. Besides being faster in the
installation process than using CD / DVD media, using USB makes it easy for us
to update the BIOS, recover passwords, check and analyze an operating system.
The
Rufus Windows Operating System is Windows XP (SP2 or higher), Windows Server
2003 R2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Rufus also
supports Linux like Arch Linux, Hiren's Boot CD, Parted Magic, Knoppix,
Kubuntu, OpenSUSE, CentOS, Fedora and various other distributions.
How
to use it is very easy. Once downloaded, it can be run directly (portable).
Select the USB drive, find the ISO location then press the start button to
start the transfer process. Don't forget to backup the contents of the
flashdisk because Rufus will automatically format the flashdisk that you are
using. This utility also has the FreeDOS option, so you can use it to boot your
computer or laptop in DOS mode. Very useful and makes it easier for you to do a
BIOS upgrade process that requires a DOS command prompt.
